Benson and Hedges is a British brand of cigarettes owned by either Philip Morris International, British Amercian Tobacco, or Japan Tobacco. In the UK, they are registered in Old Bond Street, in London and are manufactured in Lisnafillan, Ballymena, Northern Ireland. They are predominantly made from Virginia Tobacco.
It was founded in London by Richard Benson and William Hedges in 1873. Benson and Hedges in UK was acquired by Gallaher Group in 1955.
